Graphene manufacturing company Avadain receives $3.77 million project grant from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) to upscale its green technology to mass production of high-quality graphene flakes, launching Graphene Age.

The NIST grant will also fund demonstration of two critical coronavirus response applications of Avadain’s high quality graphene flakes. Project partner Flextrapower will use Avadain’s flakes to create affordable, high performance, breathable, N98+ graphene-improved filtration respirators.

Avadain Inc.’s two-year project to upscale its globally patented technology graphene flake manufacturing to industrial volumes and demonstrate the massive benefits of its graphene in two high impact applications received a $3.77 million grant from the US Department of Commerce.
